Heart Kite

Kite-14

I created this five foot-wide kite out of recycled material from a discarded parachute I found in front of an elementary school. This is one of my first attempts in inflatable sculpture that does not require a mechanical air source (like a fan). The pattern is a flowform kite, a variation on a foil design consisting of cells that inflate. This is my foray into designing more elaborate airborne sculptures.
